The Taurus Junior Golf Leagues are designed for boys and girls between the ages of 6 – 14 who have had previous golf instruction or have participated in other golf programs before.

Every week the leagues begin with a 30-minute golf lesson followed by 9 holes of golf at the Northern Pines Golf Course. Children will be placed in groups according to age and gender.

New this year we are offering a Spring League for the months of May and June. The regular Tuesday League will run again this summer in the afternoons with the addition of an “ALL GIRLS GROUP.”

Participating in these junior golf leagues will provide children with the opportunity to develop their skills, improve their etiquette and make new golfing buddies along the way. Fun, friendly contests and competitions are held just about every week with the opportunity to win small prizes and awards.

A fun tournament is scheduled for the last day of the league to wind up the year. Food, drinks, and party snacks will be complimentary for everyone attending. Prizes and participation awards will be given out as well. Parents are always welcome to come and participate themselves.

Who are these Junior Golf Leagues intended for?

Boys and Girls ages 6 - 14 are welcome who have had previous golf experience and/or instruction before.

How many spots are available in the leagues?

The Spring League can accommodate up to 40 children and the Summer League 75. If either league fills up then we will consider adding an additional day to meet the demand or consider starting the leagues at earlier times in the day.

Do you have to have your own equipment?

No, we have several junior sets available for rent at the golf course.

What are all the costs that are involved?

You must pay the league fees up front and then you are still required to pay for the 9 hole junior green fees each week via membership, punch cards or a weekly rate of $9.00 per round.

What if my child has a Junior Membership for the Northern Pines Golf Course?

If your child has a Junior Membership or your family has a Family Membership then you will not need to buy a punch card or pay for your child’s green fees each week.

How much does a Junior Membership cost for the Northern Pines Golf Course?

A Junior Membership is $175.00 including tax. A membership holder is permitted to play unlimited rounds of golf for the season purchased.

How much is a regular round of 9 holes for a junior player at Northern Pines?

The regular 9 hole green fee rate for a junior golfer at is $9.00.

How many instructors are running these junior leagues?

There will be 2 – 4 qualified instructors on site every week.

What material is covered in the lessons each week?

An itinerary will be available on May 1st outlining all the lessons and the material that will be covered each week. Check back to this site for an up-to-date agenda after May 1.

Are the children supervised on the golf course when playing?

Unfortunately, the instructors may not be available to supervise on the golf course each week. Parent volunteers are welcomed and have helped out tremendously in past years. To volunteer your services this year please contact Dave Scinocca. Email.
