Summer Camp
All NEW Summer Junior Camps at Taurus Golf this coming August. Fit for all junior boys and girls who are looking for a fun week of golf that will improve your skills. From the basic fundamentals of the full swing to the development of a strong short game, these new week long camps will get your game in shape this summer. This is a perfect tune-up for the Tamarack golf tournament. Open to any junior golfers between the ages of 6 – 18. Previous golf experience is required.
Choose one week or join for two and then select the time and appropriate skill level.
AUGUST 9TH - 13TH
Full Swing Fundamentals and Short Game Instruction
This week will include lots of range time and heavy emphasis on shots from 100 yards and in.
AUGUST 16TH – 20TH
Full Swing & Short Game Review, Basic Rules & Etiquette
The second week will focus more on playing the game and majority of classes will be on the course. The basic rules of the game and proper golf course etiquette will be taught to be ready for competition.
These camps will run daily, Monday – Friday with the following start times below:
Little Linksters Group (Ages 6 – 9) start at 10:30 am
1 ½ hours / week.
Intermediate Group (Ages 10 – 12) start at 10:00 am
2 hours / week.
Advanced Juniors (Ages 13 – 18) start at 9:30 am
2 ½ hours / week.
You can drop your child off and leave them with us for the duration of the morning. If you are an Intermediate or Little Linkster and want to start earlier in the day, no problem, come at 9:00 am. The earlier you start each day, the more practice you get in and your skills will improve faster. Your lesson will still start at the listed time above but you can certainly practice until we begin. We encourage all juniors who join these camps to come as early as you can, there will always be something to work on in your game. If you are committed to getting better, then you have to put the time in. We will help you develop a practice routine with specific drills and games to play that will enable you to improve quicker. There will be a minimum of 3 golf instructions every day.
