Dave Scinocca

CPGA Professional

Dave has been involved in the golf industry for over 20 years and for the past ten has been a member of the Canadian Professional Golf Association. 

Dave attended Northwood University in West Palm Beach, Florida on a golf scholarship. He majored in business for two years and then transferred to Lethbridge Community College where he finished up a degree in Professional Golf Management. After moving back to Brandon in 1999, he resumed a position at the Taurus Golf Practice Centre working under head golf professional, Richard Bull. Dave is currently in his fifth year as the Head Pro of the Shilo Country Club and continues to teach lessons in Brandon. In the winter months, Dave owns and operates the Brandon’s Winter Golf School in the Town Centre. 

With a very extensive competitive golf background as an amateur and professional, Dave continues to compete in tournaments at the Provincial and National levels. In 2004 he won Manitoba’s PGA Championship and was named Manitoba’s Player of the Year and Assistant Professional of the Year. He has earned exemptions to compete in tournaments on both the Canadian Tour and Nationwide Tour and someday hopes to play in a PGA Tour event. 

Dave continues to promote and develope junior golf in the West man area.  He is committed to the gorwth of the game and loves to work with young children who are just starting out.  The Dave Scinocca Golf School located at Northern Pines Golf Course is home to the Taurus Junior Golf Spring and Summer Leagues.  This is a Future Links sponsored program that puts through well over 100 boys and girls every year.
